Date: July 12-17, 2015 Location: Camp Orr, near Jasper, AR
NYLT is a six-day course. The Program is delivered in a troop and patrol outdoor setting. The emphasis is on the immediate application of learning in a fun environment. This leadership training experience is for current and future youth leaders within the Troop or Crew. They will learn how to communicate better
with youth and adults, how to set and achieve goals, how to be self-confident, how to work as a team,
how to teach skills to others, and more.
NYLT inspires participants to understand the methods of team and personal development and how
these elements relate to being a leader.

NYLT has six objectives:
• Give participants the confidence and knowledge to run the troop or crew program.
• Give participants a working knowledge of the eleven skills of leadership and to help them relate these skills to their troop responsibilities.
• Give participants the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with Scouts or Venturers from their troop or crew.
• Create an environment of Scouting fellowship and fun guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
• Develop a relationship between the participant and his Scoutmaster/Crew Advisor.
• Have fun.

Who can attend? Any Scout/Crew member that meets these requirements:
• At least 13 years of age and completed the seventh grade by the date of the course.
• Holds the rank of First Class or above.
• Is in a leadership position or is likely to be in one in the near future.
• Has the Scoutmaster’s/Advisor’s approval.
